Researchers, Students and Industry Professionals…. We Want YOU!….. To Submit!!!

A joint meeting of the Western Aquatic Plant Management Society and the National Aquatic Plant Management Society will be held in sunny San Diego, California, July 14-18, 2019.  This will surely be an excellent meeting considering that we will be teaming up with National APMS to provide a program highlighting research and important topics from the western region as well as national interest.

Program - Pre-final Agenda

Final Agenda to be posted June 14, 2019

Call for Papers (Closed)

Registration & Other Meeting Info – Registration, Hotel Reservation and other info is available through the APMS Annual Meeting Webpage -  http://www.apms.org/annual-meeting/2019-annual-meeting/

Vendors & Exhibitors - The Annual Meeting provides an excellent forum to exhibit products and services and interact with key people involved in aquatic plant management throughout the country. The Exhibit Hall is also the site of daily continental breakfasts and refreshment breaks as well as the Monday evening Poster Reception to increase interactions and discussion among Exhibitors and meeting attendees. We are confident that your time and investment in this meeting will be worthwhile.

Continuing Education* for Pesticide Licensees - WAPMS has requested approval for continuing education (CEU’s) for pesticide licensees from the following 11 western regional states: AZ, CA, CO, ID, OR, NV, NM, MT, UT, WA, and WY.

At this time, the following states have approved our lineup of conference presentations for their pesticide licensee continuing education programs.  We will update this list as more states grant their approval.

* Some states give general CEUs for our content and some give credit to pesticide businesses.  All states use the term “Continuing Education” but they vary on units, hours or credits.   For specifics, please check with your state.

Student Travel Funding - Students attending and presenting from a WAPMS state (AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, OR, NV, NM, MT, UT, WA, and WY) are encouraged to apply for a travel stipend through the Barbra H. Mullin Student Scholarship. Details at: https://wapms.org/Students

Student Tour - - All students are invited to attend a hands-on tour of management activities on surrounding waters beginning Wednesday afternoon immediately following the Annual Meeting to Friday morning 7/19. A unique experience on California waters tied into conference content is being planned with details available soon in advance of the abstract submission deadline. Students may contact the APMS Student Affairs Committee Chair, Dr. Chris Mudge, with any questions at: christopher.r.mudge@usace.army.mil
